On this Last Day in November

Writer: Miss MaryMiss Mary

I thought I would share a Savory Pumpkin Crêpe recipe created by the artiste, Awa Sow

  • Start with your favorite basic crêpe recipe. Add puréed fresh or canned pumpkin to the batter.

  • Cook the desired number of crêpes

  • Filling. This one includes ham (Prosciutto or other thinly sliced ham or cured meat will also make a good meat filling), onions, and cheese

  • Lay one crêpe onto a work surface. Layer the cheese, ham, and onions in the center of the crêpe. Fold crêpe sides to the center and place on a prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining crêpes. Bake 8-10 minutes until crêpes are hot and cheese is melted.

  • Drizzle each crêpe with our Blush Chardonnay confiture or Cuvée Nectar gelée for a savory, sweet balance. Serve with a salad for a prefect brunch/lunch or light dinner! Bon appétit.
